Of course, at the dawn of the origin of the motives that determine the behavior of an individual, there were still mundane life and material benefits. However, the community, and after it, mores quickly progressed, pushing any of the participants to fully adapt to the team and build long-term humanistic relations.

Moral norms of behavior are fixed in the minds of people so much that they are no longer a forced survival tactic, but the generally recognized motives of human behavior, an emotional need. The norm becomes:

  • moral and emotional sympathy for the neighbor;
  • compassion;
  • readiness to always come to the aid of the person in trouble.

A person who spiritually and physically supports members of his community, and he himself could count on the same attitude, which strengthened community ties and also increased the resistance of the group to various negative influences.

The formation of moral behavior in our day

If you look closely at the technical subtleties of the education of the modern man, you can see the echoes of the first steps of mankind on the path of the formation of morality. Already in a preschool institution, children are rapidly mastering the elementary norms of behavior in a group; on the basis of trial and error, they are trained to follow them in various situations. In primary school, moral education is given primary attention.

Prolonged presence in the group of their own kind, strict discipline strengthens the content side of such a concept as “internal position”.

    A schoolboy, who daily contacts with a large number of peers and teachers, goes to a new level of control over his behavior, when every erroneous action begins to seem unacceptable, distressing teachers, friends and comrades. Understanding the high value of moral behavior results in a set of actions that implement ideas:

    • love;
    • freedom;
    • of good;
    • justice

    The team gently but persistently leads each student to:

    • rejection of immoral behavior;
    • denial of hatred and destructive actions.

    The high volitional mood, as well as the acceptable moral level, are generously rewarded by universal sympathy, reinforcing spiritual aspirations.

    Who is a moral person?

    What is moral behavior in a modern highly competitive society? It is hardly necessary to consider this concept as a complete rejection of oneself and one’s own interests. But it can be argued for sure that the highly moral person is definitely deprived of coarse egoism, arrogance and greed. Such an individual seeks the benefit of others, thinks of the good for the whole of society. Showing altruism, this person deprives the manipulators of the ability to control themselves.

    Good deeds, a human attitude save lives in a literal sense. Hot conscience and high ideals do not allow evil to extinguish faith in the bright future of mankind, which is present in each of people from birth.

    Looking at the highly moral "good" person, many may think that this is a kind of gift from above. However, there are many examples where purposeful work on oneself, one’s own world view and mistakes led to outstanding results.

    Conscience and morality must be developed. Refusal from base motives, following high ideals invariably transform a person.

    A good example

    An active principle, a powerful will, striving to transform a person for the better - these are components that can work wonders. The brightest example is the work of the outstanding teacher Makarenko, managed for several years to “forge” from the group of juvenile criminals and vagrants with a certain “thieving face” a brilliant team that strictly keeps all members of the community within the framework of highly moral behavior. The factors that pushed them into bad deeds are a regulator of behavior.

    Yesterday's gangster, robbing on the road, getting into this team, after a few days transformed both externally and internally, feeling in every cell the “magical” impact of discipline, striving for a better life, high moral principles and the will to victory over poverty, decay and low instincts.

    A sense of responsibility, spirituality and morality must be brought up in a person since childhood. The basis of etiquette is also implanted at this time.
