School Behavior for Primary School Children

School Behavior for Primary School Children

Like any public institution, the school has its own rules of behavior. If high school students have already adapted themselves and know what to do and what not to do, then younger students still need to be taught everything. What rules of etiquette exist for elementary grades and in particular for first-graders?

General recommendations

In preparing their child for the first day of school, many parents give their instructions and recommendations. Moms and dads say that within the school you need to obey the teacher (and rightly so). For primary classes, there is its own etiquette and rules of communication in the team.

You need to come to study 10 minutes before the call, in order to have time to reach its class, remove the outerwear and change the change of shoes, if necessary.

If the school has a dressing room, then you need to leave a coat or jacket there. Each class has its own place and hangers. It is necessary to hang outerwear on the same hook every day, so that later you don’t have to look for it. Also it is worth remembering that you need to leave things in the wardrobe or in the classroom closet.

If someone's clothes were accidentally touched and she fell, be sure to pick them up and hang them in place.

In the school locker room can not play, as well as spending time at recess. To do this, there is a classroom, schoolyard or dining room, where you can spend free 5-10 minutes.

You can never be late for a lesson without a good reason. If it happens that the delay is inevitable, then you cannot walk along the corridors waiting for one lesson to end and the second to begin. A latecomer must knock on the classroom door, say hello, ask for forgiveness for being late and, if approved, enter the classroom.

Classroom behavior

As soon as the bell rings, you need to be ready for the lesson. Each student must sit at his or her desk, and textbooks, exercise books, and other school supplies must be prepared in advance. In class, the student should behave calmly:

  • keep quiet;
  • do not shout;
  • do not distract classmates;
  • do not be distracted by yourself.

As soon as it becomes necessary to ask a question about the lesson or answer the question posed by the teacher, the student should raise his hand, but not shout from the spot. To leave the lesson for any need is also possible only with the permission of the teacher.

When another student answers a question or tells a topic, interrupt it is impossible. Even if he answers incorrectly. Then you can raise your hand and ask for an answer or a topic.

As soon as the teacher called the student to the blackboard, he should get up. You can answer from the spot or go ahead. You need to do as the teacher says. Answer the question should be clearly.

It is necessary to speak clearly so that the whole class can hear the answer, and also not have to ask again or ask to repeat.

Assignments and exercises should be clearly and accurately recorded in a notebook. You cannot write off your neighbor's desk - this is wrong. If the student does not fully understand the topic and cannot cope with the task, then you can always contact the teacher for additional clarification of the topic.

As soon as the lesson ends and the bell rings, it is impossible to jump off the place and rush into the corridor. The teacher should have time to complete the lesson, to give homework, which must be carefully recorded in a diary. Only after that you can go to the break.

What is allowed at recess?

The change is time free from the lesson. But this does not mean that the student must forget about the rules of behavior and behave noisily.

As a rule, primary classes are located in one isolated part of the school. High school students do not come here. In addition, first-graders are forbidden to leave the corridor of the floor where their class is located, otherwise the kids will get lost, be late for a lesson.

When playing with classmates at recess, you should remember that always and in everything you need to respect the work of others. Do not litter, scatter candy wrappers and labels, dirty walls in the hallway or classroom. Every classroom and every corridor is cleaned daily by the arrival of schoolchildren, therefore pupils should maintain the cleanliness of their school as much as possible.

You can not run much along the corridors and stairs. This can lead to a fall and other unpleasant consequences (and even serious injuries). If in the corridor the student met someone from the adults and even unfamiliar teachers, then you need to step aside (to the wall) in order to miss the person and be sure to greet him.

If a third or fourth grade student sees that a first grader is being hurt or needs help, then he must be helped.

In the dining room

School canteen is the place where students from different classes can meet at the same time. As a rule, for younger groups there is a conditional time when they are allowed to go into this room for meals.

You only need to go to the dining room at a big break in order to have time to return to the class before the next lesson. In the dining room, too, you can not shout, push, be rude and behave in an inappropriate way:

  • If there is a queue in the dining room, then you can not crawl forward. You should wait for your turn.
  • You should not forget about politeness and general rules of behavior at the table.
  • As soon as the student completes his lunch, he must remove everything from the table.
  • Dirty dishes should be attributed to a special window or put on the table.

In library

At the big break or after the end of all the lessons you can go to the library, where there are always interesting and entertaining books. You should never forget about courtesy and be sure to greet the librarian, and only then ask for help to find this or that book. In the library, you can not talk loudly and make noise, since many students at this time can be engaged in the reading room and loud conversations will disturb them.

Books should always be returned to the library on time. They should be handled with care and care so as not to tear and not crumple the sheets. Draw or take notes in the books can not be.

By instilling the rules of behavior to each student from the first grade, we bring up polite, kind, and sympathetic children. Each student must not only remember all the rules of etiquette and behavior at school, but also follow them.
