How to clean a mouton fur coat at home?

Mouton fur coat is considered a very wear-resistant product, which is distinguished by its durability and excellent quality. Therefore, during the operation, you will often encounter the need to clean this luxurious fur product. Of course, the easiest option would be to pass a fur coat to dry cleaning. However, this is not always a good option: sometimes we do not have enough time for this, and we need to clean the product very urgently.

In addition, aggressive cleaning products that are used in some dry cleaners may adversely affect the product, reducing its service life. So you should try to remove the traces of dirt and socks at home. Cleaning the mouton fur coat at home is not at all difficult. There are many different ways and recipes for this, which we will now discuss in more detail.

Cleaning options

To clean the mouton coat at home, you can resort to three different methods of cleaning:

  1. Dry
  2. Wet.
  3. Using various chemicals.

If your fur product was worn for too long, had not yet had time to become particularly dirty, but only a little dust fell and crumpled in the closet, then it would be enough just to refresh it a little. You can do this as follows:

  • Take the fur coat out of the closet and shake it well so that the fur is smooth. If the product is heavy enough, you can hang it on the hangers and lightly knock out the flapper for carpet.
  • Next, you need to take a regular vacuum cleaner with a cleaning nozzle. The nozzle must first be properly cleaned so that the dust from it does not transfer to the fur product, contaminating it even more. The power of the vacuum cleaner during cleaning should be minimal.
  • If during cleaning the fur on the product has become slightly disheveled, it should be brushed with an ordinary brush for clothes.

This method can be cleaned of dust, even a bright thing.

Dry way

This cleaning option can be used in situations where there are no grease stains on the fur coat. The procedure will be as follows:

  1. It is necessary to hang the fur coat on the hanger and wait for the dirt on the product to dry completely.
  2. Using a brush for fur, comb through those areas where there is dried dirt. You need to move the brush in the direction of wool growth, and the movements should be smooth and light.
  3. Carefully comb the fur and check that there is no dust on it.

As you can see, dry cleaning is very easy. You can carry out such a procedure regularly, because it does not spoil the fur, and the coat will always look like new at the same time.

Wet method

To perform wet cleaning, the fur coat must first be cleaned of dust, for this it is sufficient to gently knock it out. After that, you need to hang the fur product on the hangers and place over the bathroom.

In the basin you need to dilute the detergent in water. Take a brush for clothes, dip into the resulting solution and clean the product. After that, you need to pour clean water into the basin, wash the brush properly and gradually rinse the foam off the product using the same brush. Water should be changed often enough.

A clean fur coat is best left over the bathroom for a day, so that all the water should be properly glass. Then you can dry it in any room that is well ventilated.
